The basketball action at the 2024 Paris Olympics kicks off on Saturday with a bronze medal match between Germany and Serbia, setting the stage for the highly anticipated gold medal showdown between USA and France.

Germany will play Serbia for the bronze in Paris after Germany lost the semifinals game against France by four points. Serbia was unable to hold off the USA in their comeback, also losing by four points.

Team USA demonstrated extraordinary resilience as they orchestrated a stunning 95-91 comeback against Serbia, despite being behind by as many as 17 points at one stage of the game. Steph Curry’s 36 points, along with LeBron James and Joel Embiid’s combined 35 points, were instrumental in this remarkable feat. The USA is now set to face France in a gold medal rematch from the Tokyo Games, where the USA emerged victorious.
