Liverpool is back in action this weekend as the Reds travel to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League, and a win will take Arne Slot’s men level on points with Chelsea
Liverpool faces Nottingham Forest this weekend knowing that a win will take the club level on points with Chelsea.
Chelsea has recorded back-to-back draws in the Premier League, with the most recent coming against Burnley on Saturday, as Liam Rosenior’s men surrendered a one-goal lead to draw 1-1.
A top-five finish will likely be enough to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League, and a win over Forest will take Liverpool up to joint-fourth in the table.
What time is kick-off?
The game between Forest and Liverpool kicks off at 2 p.m. GMT on Sunday, Feb. 22, which means it’s a 9 a.m. kick-off Eastern Time, and a 6 a.m. kick-off Pacific Time.
Is the game on TV?
The game is being shown on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom, while fans in the United States can watch the action with NBC Sports/Peacock+.

Team news
Forest: John Victor, Chris Wood, Nicolo Savona, Matz Sels and Willy Boly are all out for Forest.
Liverpool: Liverpool will not welcome any players back for the game against Forest, with Jeremie Frimpong, Wataru Endo, Alexander Isak, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni all remaining sidelined.
Isak stepped up his recovery from a broken leg last week but he is still some way away from a return to first-team action.
What the managers said
New Forest boss Vitor Pereira on facing Liverpool: “A tough game against the previous champions in England, but as I say to my players, we need to play with our tools, we need to play with our identity. We need to create identity, it must be what we like and believe.”
Arne Slot on Liverpool’s improved form: “We’ve improved compared to three or four months ago. I would even include the Bournemouth game [that Liverpool lost 3-2] because, apart from the goals we conceded, we had total control with dominance, we had a lot of chances – and the same could be said in the second half about [Manchester] City.
“We’re in a much better place now than we were months ago and there are two very simple reasons for that. [There are more reasons] but the most simple two are how fit we are now compared with three or four months ago, and the second one is that we are much better in set-pieces at the moment.”
