The FAO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, in collaboration with ESCAP and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, is convening this event to discuss the establishment of a multi-stakeholder partnership and to exchange perspectives building on the outcomes of the Bioeconomy Innovations and Investments Forum (BIIF 2025), organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), and 18 co-organizers and supporters, including ESCAP, the ASEAN Secretariat, and the Embassy of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Bangkok.

The BIIF 2025 communique highlighted the need to connect fragmented bioeconomy efforts and align them with global, regional, national, and sub-national priorities. A regional partnership, supported by a programmatic framework and the Regional Bioeconomy Innovations and Investments Platform, could help connect partners, countries, and investors, enhance strategic synergies, and enable country-led programmatic action across the region.
