Eligibility
CAPS services are free and available to currently enrolled GGC students. Please note that per Georgia Law, students under the age of 18 will need parent/guardian consent to receive counseling services.
How to Make an Appointment
Simply stop by the CAPS office, call 678.407.5592 or email @email to schedule a virtual or in-person appointment. Same-day initial consultation appointments are limited and scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Virtual Initial Consultation
- Download Microsoft Teams on a device that has a video camera and microphone.
- Access Microsoft Teams using your student ID and password.
- Check your GGC Claw Mail for a Microsoft Teams meeting invitation on the morning of your appointment, and confirm the appointment.
- Prior to your appointment, complete and submit the CAPS online client forms included in your meeting invitation.
- Find the MS Teams invitation link again by logging in and viewing your calendar.
In-Person Initial Consultation
In-person consultations are held in the CAPS office. Please arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your appointment to complete client forms. You will meet with a counselor for approximately 30 minutes and discuss what will be most helpful for you.
