How to block an admin whose number isn’t stored in your phone’s address book
You might be part of WhatsApp groups which have admins who aren’t in your contact list or any address book. If you want to block them, follow these steps:
- Open the
WhatsApp group chat , then tap or click the group subject. - Tap or click the phone number of the admin you want to block.
- If prompted, tap or click Message {phone number} or Send Message.
- A blank chat with the admin will open up. Tap or click the phone number at the top.
- Tap or click Block > Block.
How to block an admin whose number is stored in your phone’s address book
On Android
- Go to WhatsApp and tap More options
- Then head to Settings and Account
- Here you will find Privacy and head to Blocked contacts
- Tap the “+” sign.
- Tap the name of the admin from the contact list.
On iPhone
- Go to WhatsApp and tap on Settings
- Tap on Privacy and then Blocked.
- Tap Add New.
- Tap the name of the admin from the contact list.
