Hi, I am in a situation that I honestly don’t know what to do. I have been working on upwork for almost a year and I have long term clients that I’ve work with for almost all my time here who pushed me to be a top rated plus freelancer. I am still happily working with them.
However I picked up other projects here and there to expand my client pool. I have a client that give me fixed price and how they do it usually they send me work with a milestone but not funded it yet. I work on it and after approved, they funded and released it after.
It went fine on the first milestone. The amount of work and the price matched. However the problem is in the current milestone that I have revision twice and on my third now. I don’t have a problem revision my work as long as it within my controls.
The problem is the thing I needed to do is add some items to main picture but the items that needed to be added even though they provided me in high quality. When I have to resize to’ fit’ into the main picture it lost quality, simply just because the main picture doesn’t have enough pixel to have such a detailed items being that small.
I have raised the problem, after the first round of feedback sent to me was it blurred and pixelated alongside with other feedback such as fix colors, shapes etc. I did fixed those feedback and still have the same problem with not enough pixel in the main picture.
This time I sent a source file with high resolution items that I’ve done them before I resized to fit the main picture just to show that it wasn’t bad quality or blurred from my side.
Here come the 3rd round along with feedback that all feedback was fine except the quality of items, still blurred. Tell me to fix it and give me solution of making it a smart object which it wasn’t really help. I said yes, fine I will try.
To add more of a story, my schedule has been very unpredictable as well because I have a very sick child that I need to be at hospital many times per week which I have informed the client that I can no longer work in this upcoming months because of it. The project is very time consuming and I can no longer afford it and with this issues. I don’t really know what to do. I can’t fix thing that is out of my control but in the same time I want to complete task for the sake of completing it as I’ve never abandoned any work before.
I just don’t know what to do, I am also afraid that if I just abandon it. I will get a bad review but in the same time, I am very overwhelmed with it.
The other clients are very nice and understanding.
