The Subway Socceroos will take on Bahrain in an international friendly match in Abu Dhabi as part of preparations for the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™.
The clash at Baniyas Stadium kicks off at 1:00am on Sunday, 7 January (AEDT) and will be the sixth meeting between the two nations, while serving as a chance to fine tune things ahead of the tournament proper commencing a week later.
Graham Arnold named a strong 26-player squad for the tournament with the Aussies determined to win the men’s competition for a second time.
Australia have been pitted in Group B alongside India, Syria, and Uzbekistan.

The match against Bahrain will be broadcast live and free on Australia’s ‘Home of Football,’ Network 10.
The international friendly will also be streamed live via both 10 Play and Paramount+.
