The Dallas Cowboys (12-5) and the Green Bay Packers (9-8) will square off in the first of two NFC wild-card games on Sunday.
These two historic teams have a plethora of head-to-head playoff history. In the 1967 NFL Championship Game, the Packers won 21-17 over the Cowboys, a game later dubbed “The Ice Bowl.” In the 1995 NFC Championship Game, the Cowboys defeated the Packers 38-27, en route to winning the franchise’s latest Super Bowl. Their last playoff meeting was on Jan. 15, 2017, in the NFC Divisional Round, where the Packers conquered the Cowboys 34-31.
The head-to-head playoff record between these two franchises is 4-4. On Sunday, the rivalry will be renewed with a spot in the Divisional Round on the line.

The Cowboys are favored at -7, per BetMGM. The O/U is 50.5.
Recent series history
The Packers and Cowboys have played each other 38 times in NFL history. Green Bay leads the career head-to-head 21-17.
The last time these two teams played was Nov. 13, 2022, with the Packers winning 31-28 in overtime.
Injury report
The Packers list cornerback Jaire Alexander and wide receiver Christian Watson as questionable against the Cowboys. Alexander hasn’t practiced since injuring his ankle during Wednesday’s practice. Watson has a hamstring injury. Running back AJ Dillon is doubtful with a thumb/neck injury as he hasn’t practiced this week.
For the Cowboys, everyone is available to play except for backup quarterback Cooper Rush, who is questionable with an illness. Stephon Gilmore and Tyler Smith are expected to play Sunday against the Packers.
