Men’s Six Nations 2024 – How to watch on BBC TV and iPlayer and follow on Radio, BBC Sounds and Online


Huge tackles, electric atmospheres and the biggest stars – the BBC is showing live match coverage, comprehensive highlights and expert analysis throughout the Men’s Six Nations 2024 from legends of the game.

BBC TV coverage of the Six Nations begins on Saturday 3 February, with Gabby Logan presenting Wales v Scotland live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Gabby will lead live coverage across TV and BBC iPlayer and will be joined by two-time British and Irish Lions captain, Sam Warburton, England’s 2003 World Cup winning captain, Martin Johnson, former Scotland captain, John Barclay, Wales legend, Jonathan Davies, and Scotland’s record-points holder, Chris Paterson, who make up the punditry and co-commentary team. England’s 2016 Grand Slam winning captain Dylan Hartley, former France international Ben Kayser and Italian great Sergio Parisse, will also feature across BBC Sport’s coverage of the Six Nations.

Leading TV commentary will be Andrew Cotter, with Gareth Rhys Owen, Alastair Eykyn and Sara Orchard providing highlights commentary. For TV and iPlayer, refereeing legend Nigel Owens will be on hand to provide unparalleled expert insight and analysis on all the key officiating decisions. Pitch-side reporters Sonja McLaughlan and Lee McKenzie will bring viewers all the big-name interviews and updates from the touchline.

Radio commentary begins for the opening match of the tournament on Friday 2 February with Sonja McLaughlan hosting coverage of France v Ireland in Marseilles from 7pm on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Wales

Live commentary of all of Wales’ matches during the Six Nations will be on both BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Cymru.

On BBC Radio Wales, Ken Owens will join Wynne every Friday before each Wales game to answer audience questions in “Ask Ken.” Lucy Owen will be reflecting the unique atmosphere of a Cardiff matchday on her new Saturday afternoon programme hearing fan thoughts and predictions from supporters outside the stadium.

In the Welsh language, BBC Radio Cymru will have live coverage of every Wales game and Dros Frecwast will be building up to all the games as well as looking back at previous games.

Scotland

All Scotland games will have live commentary on BBC Radio Scotland and there will be live match reports on the BBC Sport Scotland website. The latest news and analysis will be available on the BBC Scotland Rugby podcast on BBC Sounds.

Northern Ireland

BBC Sport Northern Ireland will have live commentary of all of Ireland’s games in the Six Nations on BBC Sounds. Gavin Andrews will introduce the coverage via BBC Radio Ulster starting with the first round of matches on Friday 2 February with France v Ireland live from Marseilles.

Jim Neilly will be on commentary alongside ex-Ireland centre Darren Cave with Claire McLaughlin and Chris Henry providing analysis over the course of this year’s tournament.
