Hi! Several days ago I unfortunetelly agreed an offer from scammer. I didn’t check feedbacks on his page so it is my fault too and I know that I have to be more cautious. After they gave me additional job for the same money – I checked feedbacks. I stopped the contract and blocked him.
But you know, what’s really interesting? Now when I checked the conversations which I have blocked – I noticed that I already had a blocked conversation with him. Just the dialog had a different name on top – but inside the conversation it was the same name. Seems like he just changed his name and sent me the proposal this time again.
Does upwork intentionally provide scammers such an ability to easily change their credentials and involve freelancers into unpaid work? Will you somehow provide us tools to block scammers once and forever at least a certain person? I don’t want my time and reputation being in a constant danger because of malfunctioning of “block user” function
