Those of us in the Houston area Monday may be dealing with an obscured view of the total solar eclipse, but regardless of the weather – you can still share in the moment when afternoon skies temporarily darken as the moon blocks the face of the sun.
Here are the live experiences we’re offering on KPRC 2, the KPRC 2+ livestream and Click2Houston.
Stream local coverage LIVE on KPRC 2+
Join us for special coverage of the ‘Great Texas Eclipse’ beginning Monday at 1 p.m. exclusively on the KPRC 2+ livestream.
Hosts Frank Billingsley and Tessa Barrera will bring you the best images and live interviews from our crews fanned out across Houston to the Texas Hill Country.
In Texas, 12.8 million people are in the path of totality for the solar eclipse.
You can watch our local coverage live by downloading the free KPRC 2+ app to your connected TV or smart phone.
“Choose your view” on Click2Houston
At the height of the event Monday afternoon, you’ll be able to watch any of our nearly one dozen livestreams in the “Watch Live” section at click2houston.com or on the Click2Houston app.
Our featured locations will include the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land, Spring ISD’s Beneke Elementary School, the Houston Zoo, and the city of Fredericksburg.
We’ll also stream views of the solar eclipse from NASA TV.
Track coverage across the country on KPRC 2
Nationwide coverage of the historic eclipse begins at 1 p.m. on KPRC 2. NBC’s Lester Holt will anchor the two-hour special live from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, which is the world’s largest viewing site for the 2024 total solar eclipse.
The coverage will also feature correspondents stationed across the country to track the eclipse in real time.
However you plan to experience Monday’s cosmic event, be sure to drop your pictures and videos at Click2Pins!
