Gray Zone Warfare has more than 100 tasks in the current build, but the one that really had me stumped when I first played was the True Grit task that requires you to find a revolver. I spent more than two hours trying to figure this one out before I discovered the secret, but all you have to do is keep reading to find out how to complete the quest.
The True Grit task is given to you by Handshake after you first explore Hunter’s Paradise in the north of the map and complete the task from Gunny that requires you to explore the area. As soon as you turn that task in you will get True Grit, where you are tasked with finding an antique revolver somewhere near the shooting range and bringing it back to your base.
There are two very annoying things with this task. The first is that the quest description specifically mentions that it is somewhere in the shooting range, however, the actual location is not in the shooting range but in the motel slightly south of the range. The next is that to get in the room with the revolver, you need to find a key that doesn’t seem to spawn too often.
Before you can get the revolver you will need to find the Hunter’s Paradise Motel Room 102 key, which can be found on dead AI bodies in the area. However, it is not a common spawn so you might be killing AI around the area for quite a while before you do find it. Fortunately, only one member of your squad needs to find it before you can complete the task.
Once you have the Hunter’s Paradise Motel Room 102 key you, unsurprisingly, need to go to room 102 in the motel south of the shooting range at Hunter’s Paradise. You can find the location in map square 160, 167 and it is the same location for all three factions.
Once you find the room you need to unlock the door with the key and you will find the revolver in a red case next to the bed. You simply need to take this and return it back to Handshake in your base, so it is best to stick the item in your secure container before making the trip back. That way, if you die you will keep the revolver and do not need to go and get it again. Once you have turned it in to Handshake at the base the task is completed and you can claim your rewards.
