How to make 3D to 2D Drawings in LayOut – Pro

Hi there, I was creating a topic to see if there is an effective way to make a 2D drawing of a 3D part and all its views (isometric, top, bottom, side). I used SolidWorks to do this in school, but I can not figure out if this is possible on SketchUp. I am going for something like the following image, but a different part.

If anyone has any tips, or a link to a youtube video (I couldn’t find any), please let me know. I have been having a difficult time with this as a new user to this software.

Thats just a matter of setting up the corresponding scenes in SketchUp and then creating viewports in LayOut arranging them on the page. The tutorials @bmike linked should teach you all you need to know.

I didn’t spend much time on it and clearly didn’t do the title block and page border stuff but This is done in SketchUp and LayOut.

You can look at the LayOut file to get an idea of how I put the file together. I expect you’ll need the correct font installed in your system fonts to get the symbols to display correctly.
