FPL expert Harry Daniels reveals how he is approaching Gameweek 38 of Fantasy Challenge, where managers can only select a maximum of one player per club.
You can enter your own squad any time up until kick-off for all 10 matches, at 16:00 BST on Sunday.
It’s an exciting FPL Challenge this week, with managers only being allowed to chose one player from each team while also trying to stay within budget.
I decided to focus mainly on the attack, given there are normally more goals and fewer clean sheets on the final day, and this could well be heightened on Sunday due to the incredible number of goals already scored this season.
In goal I have gone with Burnley goalkeeper Arijanet Muric (£4.3m), who plays at home to Nottingham Forest. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will likely have one eye on the goal difference buffer they take into the final day to ensure their Premier League safety. Muric has been good recently for both save and bonus points. In order to spare budget elsewhere, my back-up goalkeeper is Alphonse Areola (£4.2m), despite West Ham United visiting Manchester City… Let’s hope I do not need him!
Into the defence, due to the lack of clean sheets often seen in Gameweek 38, I have favoured attack-minded defenders. The first is the fit-again Kieran Trippier (£6.6m), with Newcastle United heading to Brentford. We know what Trippier is capable of and Newcastle still have points to fight for on the final day to potentially secure European football for next season.
Sergio Reguilon (£4.5m), who has been a fantastic addition for Brentford since they brought him in January, takes the final spot. I will be hoping for a 0-0 due to also owning Trippier!
My final pick in defence is Antonee Robinson (£4.5m), with Fulham travelling to Luton Town. Although I do not expect a clean sheet, Robinson has had a fantastic season, with more attacking returns than he has ever managed before.
On the bench, I’ve gone for the budget-friendly Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£4.4m) and Diego Carlos (£4.4m), who have away matches against Brighton and Crystal Palace respectively.
Focus on star midfielders
My first midfielder is Mohamed Salah (£13.4m). The Jurgen Klopp era is coming to an end and one of, if not the most prolific Liverpool player during this time, has been Salah. At home to a Wolves side who have fallen away over recent weeks means Salah will also be my captain.
Next is Son Hueng-min (£10.0m). Son has shown very mixed form of late, but it is no secret that both him and Spurs love scoring goals on the final day of the season, particularly going away from home as they travel to Sheffield United. Surely there will be plenty of goals!
I need an Arsenal midfielder and have favoured Kai Havertz (£7.5m), playing as a centre-forward, over the more popular Bukayo Saka (£8.9m), as a punt on the final day.
Cole Palmer (£6.3m) has to be in there. After a fantastic season, he will want to finish on a high at home to Bournemouth, who have little to play for, while Chelsea continue their late push up the table.
Finally in my five-man midfield is Michael Olise (£5.7m). The Palace star has 100 FPL points over his last 10 starts, and plays at home to an Aston Villa side who look to be fading slightly and now have nothing to play for on the final day, having secured UEFA Champions League football in midweek.
Take a chance on Adebayo
Up front, we start with the obvious Erling Haaland (£14.2m). He recorded his season high Expected Goals (xG) in the reverse fixture against West Ham, is closing in on a second Premier League title and the Golden Boot to go with it.
Then as a punt, I have gone for Elijah Adebayo (£4.8m). His goalscoring record this season has been fantastic and I am sure Luton fans will be rueing his injury midway through the season, when he was flying.
My bench forward is Joao Pedro (£5.2m), with Brighton hosting Manchester United.
This is an attacking team, with even the defenders offering a goal and assist threat, so I will be hoping for a Gameweek 38 to remember in terms of goals scored.
