Pender County Sheriff’s Office to host session on how to defend yourself from violent threats


HAMPSTEAD, N.C. (WECT) – The Pender County Sheriff’s Office will host a course to teach people how to respond to violent threats.

Sheriff Alan Cutler will go over topics such as how to be more aware of your surroundings, what actions you can legally take to defend yourself according to North Carolina laws, and what to do when faced with an aggressive situation during a home invasion.

This workshop will be June 11 starting at 6 p.m.

It will be at the Pender County Annex-Auditorium building in Hampstead.

This course is free and open to the public.
