How To Watch The ‘Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup’ Docuseries: Release Schedule

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s new docuseries about her life after prison is premiering tonight on Lifetime. Discover how to watch Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup and when new episodes of the anticipated documentary will be released.

The Lifetime docuseries will follow 32-year-old Gypsy Rose after serving eight and a half years for the role in the murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard. Gypsy pleaded guilty in 2016 to second-degree murder of her mother, while her then-boyfriend Nicholas Godejohn was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Throughout her childhood, Dee Dee fooled her daughter and her doctors into believing that Gypsy suffered from a multitude of health issues, including leukemia, epilepsy, vision, and hearing impairments, and that she needed to use a wheelchair, according to ABC News, medical records and an interview with Blanchard.

Over eight episodes, Gypsy Rose: Life After Lockup will center on Gypsy after her high-publicized release, in which, during her first 12 hours of freedom, she is “chased by paparazzi, threatened with a parole violation if she doesn’t leave the state of Missouri immediately, and reveals whether she has consummated her marriage,” according to Lifetime.

The first episode, “So This Is Freedom,” dives into Gypsy’s first hours after her publicized release from prison, while the second episode, “Independence Is Scary,” follows her marriage with her now-estranged ex-husband Ryan Anderson. Lifetime teased that viewers can also expect “explosive drama” after Gypsy’s stepmother, Kristy Blanchard, reached out to Gypsy’s ex-fiancé, Ken Urker (whom Gypsy is currently in a relationship with).
