Travel by Car
The shortest road between Oslo and Bergen is highway RV7, and about midway, is Geilo. The RV7 highway over the Hardangervidda plateau and along the Hardangerfjord is a national tourist road. You can also get to Geilo via FV50 over the mountains from west to east. The road passes through magnificent nature between Aurland and Hol. From Hol, it is 10 km to Geilo. From Geilo, the FV40 road goes through Numedal, Kongsberg, Larvik, and on to Tønsberg and Sandefjord. Parking and electric car charging in Geilo.
