Indeed, the creation of impressive young people continues to be a key pillar of our trailblazing youth system and this film’s senior star, Kobbie Mainoo, is a shining example of that.
In the film, we follow the midfield prodigy – graduate number 246 – throughout a nostalgic return to his old primary school and witness the inspirational impact he’s had on the children.
When asked by one pupil how he stays humble amid a stratospheric rise, his grounded roots are clear to see in his response. “I have never really been one to brag,” says Kobbie.
“I just keep my head down, keep trying to work hard and I try not to listen to people who keep on bigging me up. Obviously, I appreciate it, but you can’t let it get to your head.”
