Collections are great way to separate your inventory on your online store, to easily guide your customers to the products they are looking for.
You must only follow the tutorial below if you have integrated Booqable with a website provided by a third-party platform like Shopify, WordPress, Squarespace, or Weebly.

This feature’s main purpose is to separate your products into groups on your online store. You can create collections and sub-collections to generate a list you can include on your different webpages.
1. Create a collection
1. In your Booqable admin, go to Inventory > Collections.
2. Click “Add collection“.
3. Give your collection a Name. If it is a sub-collection, choose the Parent collection.
💡Example: If you rent out Camera/AV equipment, you could set up a collection like ‘DSLR Cameras’ to group all similar products together.
4. Appearance in online store and SEO settings are only if the Booqable website builder is being used.
5. Click Save and open the collection by clicking on it. In the Products tab, add the products you wish to include in this collection.
2. Create a sub-collection
If needed, you can add a sub-collection to the collection as well.
Sub-collections allow you to create sections within a collection to separate your products even more.
💡Example: If you create a collection for ‘DSLR Cameras’, you can create sub-collections for ‘Canon’ and ‘Sony’.
To create a sub-collection, choose a parent collection when adding a new one. You can also drag and drop collections to organize them on the collections page:
3. Add a collection of products to your website
When you add Booqable to your website, you can embed a list of collections, a list of products from one or more collections, or a combination of both.

1. How are tags different from collections?
Tags are a Booqable tool for organizing your products primarily on the backend. Like collections for your online store, tags create a clickable list of different product collections on your Booqable inventory page.
You cannot include a tag under a collection list on your online store, which is why collections exist for that very purpose.

2. Can I combine collections and tags in one product list?
Yes! You can embed a combination of collections and tags in one product list on your online store.
For example, you may have tagged certain products with the tag ‘Canon’ on the backend, and placed only some of these tagged products under the collection ‘Large cameras’.
You can use the below code format to show only the tagged products that fall under a certain collection.
