Nico Paz spoke very highly of Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti in a recent interview, saying he knows how to get the best out of his players.
Paz joined Como from Real Madrid in the summer and has impressed everyone this season with his performances under Como coach Cesc Fabregas.
Paz was asked about his time at Real Madrid and working under Carlo Ancelotti, about whom he only said good things: “Ancelotti was happy for me after the goal against Napoli, he knew what it meant to me. He knows where to put you and has a lot to ask of you. He knows how to get the most out of his players.
“He told me to show personality with the ball and to be calm.”
Paz also talked about Toni Kroos, revealing his final interactions with the German legend before his retirement. “Right before he retired, Toni Kroos told me to keep fighting to find my place in football,” said the 19-year-old.
Finally, Paz was asked the obvious question — whether he has a future at Real Madrid — to which he said: “I hope so. But now I’m with Como and I will give my all.”
