How to Unlock Every Character
Jamboree’s roster of 22 playable characters is the largest in the Mario Party series, and you begin with 20 characters already unlocked. But you’ll need to unlock the two newcomers, Pauline and Ninji, yourself, but fortunately, it takes almost no time at all to do so.
While in the Hot Air Balloon above the Party Plaza, rather than toggling between modes with L and R, move the left control stick to gain complete control over the camera. Both Pauline and Ninji are hanging out on separate islands in the background, just waiting to be invited to the party.
Pauline: The Mayor of New Donk City is waiting on a small sandbar to the left of Minigame Bay. Zoom in and interact with her to add her to the roster.
Ninji: Zoom in on the larger of the pair of islands behind the Rhythm Kitchen building to find and unlock Ninji.
How to Unlock Every Board
Super Mario Party Jamboree has seven boards, but only four of them are available at the very start. You’ll have to put in some time to unlock its two returning boards – Mario Party’s Mario’s Rainbow Castle and Mario Party 2’s Western Land – as well as its final brand new board, King Bowser’s Keep.
All three boards are unlocked by leveling up your Player Rank along Jamboree’s Rewards track, which is its version of a (completely free) battle pass.
