The Student Government Association’s general election voting period will begin Monday, Feb. 17 at 8 a.m. and end Wednesday, Feb. 19 at noon. Students can vote through the UGA Involvement Network.
The Impact Ticket is running unopposed for executive office this year. The ticket is composed of Presidential Candidate John Neely, Vice Presidential Candidate Jhaycee Barnes and Treasurer Candidate Talha Ali. Information on the senatorial candidates running for office can be found on the SGA candidate information website.
Each candidate running for elected office campaigns with three distinct initiatives that they seek to complete during their time in office. The Impact Ticket plans to implement a digital UGA ID for students, a more efficient ticket transferring method amongst students and to subsidize e-textbook and subscription costs for students with financial need. Results for the 2025 SGA election will be announced at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at the Tate Stage, according to the SGA election timeline. Students can attend the elections fair at the Tate Plaza on Monday from 10 a.m – 2 p.m. to meet and learn about the candidates running.
