Want to relive the first Monday in May? While the date of the Met Gala is easy to remember, how to watch the Met Gala 2025 is a question that doesn’t have a cutesy alliterative answer.

But fear not—we’ve got all the information about how to watch the Met Gala again and again, so you don’t miss a single over-the-top arrival (remember Lady Gaga doing “camp”?) or costume change (Zendaya had not one but two red-carpet looks in 2024) or blunder (just kidding: don’t fall for that “Jason Derulo falls down The Met steps” meme again this year—this is your advance warning!).

Wanna see stars like Teyana Taylor and Emma Chamberlain grace the carpet? Of course you do!

How can I watch the Met Gala 2025?

The arrivals for the 2025 Met Gala were livestreamed on Vogue beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET sharp on Monday, May 5. It’s available to watch above at the top of this article. You can also catch the livestream on any of Vogue’s social platforms, though I’m of the opinion that the bigger the screen, the better (to see the gowns with).

And don’t forget about Glamour! You can also check out our social media for exclusive red-carpet content. This is a multiple-screens situation, people!

Who’s hosting the livestream?

Taylor, La La Anthony, and SNL’s Ego Nwodim hosted Vogue’s livestream, while Chamberlain returned as Vogue’s special correspondent on the red carpet.

Remind me of the theme?

The theme of this year’s Costume Institute exhibition was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.” According to the Metropolitan Museum’s website, it’s “a cultural and historical examination of Black style over 300 years through the concept of dandyism.”

And what’s the dress code?

The dress code for the event is Tailored for You, so naturally there was a lot of suiting and menswear-inspired gowns. See all the looks from the 2025 Met Gala red carpet as well as our picks for the best dressed.

Who’s on the guest list?

Oh, you thought we’d just tell you? The notoriously private (and famously A-list) guest list was still under wraps until the very last minute. And that’s part of the fun of watching, so we recommend tuning in to have that same element of surprise. However, we can share this: The co-chairs of the event were announced last fall, so a few attendees were confirmed in advance. The co-chairs were: Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams, and Anna Wintour. LeBron James also served as an honorary chair.
