Blue box recycling is changing in Halton
Starting January 1, 2026, Blue Box recycling in Halton will be managed by Circular Materials (external link), a not-for-profit organization appointed by producers under Ontario’s new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program.
Halton Region will continue to provide garbage, Green Cart, yard waste, bulk waste collection, and operate the Halton Waste Management Site.
