To apply for a digital parking permit visit vpermit.com.au/northernbeaches and follow the step by step instructions below or watch the instructional video.
Step 1: Register
Create an account by clicking the register link in the Create an account box.
- A valid email address
This email address will be used for all ongoing correspondence regarding your vPermit account and permits.
- Create your own password
Passwords must:- be at least 8 characters in length
- contain at least one upper case letter
- contain at least one number
- contain at least one special character (e.g. @, %! *, #,? )
Step 2: Verify your address
For owner-occupiers:
- Auto approval
A council rates notice (the 7-digit Reference Number), plus upload your NSW Driver Licence with matching address.
- Manual review
Upload a digital NSW Driver Licence, property settlement documents, bank statements or other proof of address documents. Note the manual review can take up to 3 days and you will be notified by email once the review is complete.
For owner non-occupiers:
- Auto approval
A council rates notice (the 7-digit Reference Number)
- Manual review
Upload property settlement documents, bank statements or other proof of property ownership. Note the manual review can take up to 3 days and you will be notified by email once the review is complete.
For resident non-owners:
- Auto-approval
Upload of NSW Driver Licence with matching address.
- Manual review
Upload other proof of address documents e.g. valid Lease Agreement, bank statements, utility bills. Note the manual review can take up to 3 days and you will be notified by email once the review is complete.
Step 3: Select your permit and enter vehicle details
Select the required permit from the list provided and enter the details of your vehicle.
Trucks, buses, trams, tractors or boats and caravan trailers are not eligible for a permit.
Step 4: Payment
Permits will not be active until you have made payment.
- Online Payment
A valid credit or debit card; a 0.5% surcharge applies to all card payments.
- Pay in person
Visit a Council Customer Service branch (Dee Why, Manly, Mona Vale) to pay in person – cash, valid debit or credit card; a 0.5% surcharge applies to all card payments.
