Claude + HeyGen Just Changed Content Creation Forever
I built a system that takes a raw script and turns it into a fully edited video with my AI clone, my voice, and professional motion graphics.
A ~5 hour process transformed into something that happens while I sleep.
Here’s the stack:
1️⃣ HeyGen Avatar V
→ Creates a digital twin from 15 seconds of webcam footage
→ Learns your gestures, head movements, and expressions
2️⃣ ElevenLabs voice clone
→ HeyGen’s built-in voice clone isn’t great, so I use ElevenLabs separately
→ 2 hours of training data got it sounding like me with my actual inflection
3️⃣ Claude Code as the orchestration layer
→ Pulls scripts from Google Drive
→ Chunks them into 45-60 second segments (the sweet spot for voice quality)
→ Sends audio to HeyGen, stitches clips together, generates motion graphics with Remotion
I just dropped a 20 minute YouTube video walking through the full setup, the API workaround for Avatar V, and what the whole thing actually costs.
The production bottleneck used to be recording, editing, and post-production.
Now the bottleneck is where it should be: the ideas and the writing.
Total cost for a 10-minute video is roughly $50 in API credits plus about $250/month in subscriptions.
Compare that to $1,000+ for equipment and editing. Plus the time it takes.
