Happy Friday evening to one and all.
It’s been a quiet and comfortable end to the week across Minnesota, and that calm pattern carries us into the start of the weekend.
Tonight will be mostly clear and cool with lows around 45°.
Saturday brings a bit more cloud cover as a weak disturbance moves through. There is a chance for a few showers or sprinkles, but it’s worth noting that low-level dry air may limit what actually reaches the ground. In other words, radar could look more impressive than what you experience outside. Highs will top out in the low 60s.
Then attention turns to our next, more impactful system.
Sunday starts dry, but clouds increase through the day with showers developing late. By Monday, we’re looking at a widespread, soaking rain with high confidence in steady precipitation. This could lead to slower travel and some soggy conditions to start the work week, with highs in the mid 60s.
Behind that system, cooler and quieter weather settles in.
Tuesday through Friday feature a mix of sun and clouds with seasonable temperatures in the upper 50s to around 60°, along with a bit of a breeze at times.
So the story here is a quiet Friday night, a low-impact Saturday with limited showers, and then a much wetter pattern arriving Sunday into Monday.
Enjoy the evening, and take care.
