The race for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League is heating up ahead of another exciting weekend of action in the Premier League.

The latest round of matches will get underway with Saturday’s early kick-off as Chelsea take on Everton at Stamford Bridge.

The Premier League has been awarded an extra place in Europe’s elite competition next term thanks to the impressive performances of English clubs in UEFA tournaments.

Chelsea are currently fifth in the Premier League, which would be enough to see them enter the Champions League next term.

However, they are facing stiff competition from Nottingham Forest in sixth and Aston Villa in seventh.

The Toffees are 13th and have already guaranteed their place in England’s top flight next season.
