Entrust dividend: How to ensure you get your share of the payout

Entrust chairwoman Denise Lee said eligible Aucklanders should watch for a letter or email arriving this week with information about the dividend.

“We know many people across the Entrust district look forward to this payment because they tell us.

“For some, it helps with day-to-day costs; for others, it’s a bit of extra breathing room.

“Either way, we want it to be easy to receive in late September.”

Since its inception, the annual Entrust dividend has provided a yearly injection of more than $120 million.

Eligible power account holders can choose to receive the dividend as a direct payment into their bank account or as a credit on their electricity account, while prepay customers must receive the payment by direct credit.

To qualify for the 2026 dividend, customers must hold a power account connected to Vector’s electricity network within the Entrust district on the dividend roll date later this year.

Lee said the quickest way to update payment details was through Entrust’s secure online portal, with changes required by 5pm on August 7 to ensure payments are processed without delay.
